The School of Education offers several teaching credential programs for initial licensure. For those interested in becoming teachers at the elementary or secondary levels, the School of Education offers programs that lead to the Preliminary 2042 Multiple Subject or 2042 Single Subject California Teaching Credential. For those interested in becoming teachers in special education, the School of Education offers the Preliminary Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Education Specialist California Credential programs.
The School of Education offers several service credential programs. For those interested in becoming a principal, vice-principal, and/or a School Counselor, the School of Education offers programs that lead to the Pupil Personnel Services School Counseling credential.
All service credential and teacher credential programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

Christina Portillo is the principal at R.H. Dana Elementary in Dana Point, California. She decided to get her Doctorate in Education at Brandman because she wanted to be a better leader. Christina says that her Brandman education helped her understand how to work more effectively with her staff and provide greater leadership.
