Brandman University's Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) builds on your current experience and nursing practice skills, integrating them with new and innovative ways to think about the health care system. Emphasis is placed on patient-care, use of technology, improving outcomes, innovative leadership, and using evidence to base practice.
This program is designed for current registered nurses who want to advance their careers, become more marketable, and open doors to non hospital-related care.
Accelerated RN to BSN program: 36 credits can be completed in one year, full time by taking two courses every 8 weeks. Part-time study is also available. The accelerated BSN program is also designed for seamless movement into Brandman's Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, which together can be completed in as little as 4 years.
The RN to BSN program is delivered using a blend of: one 3-day virtual immersion with an option to attend in person in Irvine, California, at the beginning of the program; internships/clinical practice in hospitals, clinics and health centers near your home or work; and online lectures, demonstrations and exercise.
*Additional admission requirements may exist. This program is not available to residents of all states. Please contact a University Enrollment Coach for details.
Sharon Hoier has been a nurse for over 30 years, and it was always her goal to become a Nurse Practitioner. She wanted to mentor other nurses and share her years of experience with them. She chose to get her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Brandman because of the quality of their program and because their blended model made it easier to study while working full time. Today, Sharon is a Nurse Practitioner at a Medical Group in Newport Beach, California.
