Do you want to be the spark of change in your community? School Counselors help revitalize communities by providing support to children and encouraging youth to pursue college and careers.
Brandman University’s combined MA/PPSC in School Counseling was created to provide students a streamlined quality education. An integrated degree assists students by reducing steps in the path to becoming a School Counselor. This means no additional applications and no delays so you can start changing the lives of adolescents and their families sooner.
According to First Lady, Michelle Obama, the influence of School Counselors’ goes beyond the classroom, "the impact you have is not just on every child whose life you transform, but on the family that child will raise, on the business where that child will work, on the community that child will one day serve."
Christina Portillo is the principal at R.H. Dana Elementary in Dana Point, California. She decided to get her Doctorate in Education at Brandman because she wanted to be a better leader. Christina says that her Brandman education helped her understand how to work more effectively with her staff and provide greater leadership. Since Christina has been principal, her school has been named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
